Today I discovered another book that speaks to where I would like to go with my study. The title of the book is: The Dilemmas of Being an African American Male in the New Millennium: Solutions for Life Transformation. Here is a link to the book. These guys are already in the space I want to be in. I ordered a copy so that I can maybe include it in my literature review depending which way I go with it. A couple of weeks ago I purchased and read another one called The Black Male Handbook. These are both books that are speaking to the problem that my study intends to address. Today I got word that one of the men I would like to interview for my study indicated he would be interested in participating. He is the prototype for what I would like the participants to be. I am very excited. I will continue reading the Salas study this week as well.

Hi Ksi,
I can see you are moving in a direction that resonates with who you are and who you want to be. Remember when I asked you project yourself into the future? What do you want to be an expert on? Understand your community and the dimensions of leadership is important. And having another study with a different group to trade off is good. I will need to look at these. Are they electronic?
Using a model that someone else has in a new setting is a great way to build knowledge. It is important to build on what others have done.

Yes I thought of you when I realized this was the space I wanted to participate. I think of you quite a bit actually as I reflect upon your course. It is certainly one that resonated with me more than others in the program. The books are not electronic. Anytime I have something that is electronic I will share it with you at the time of the post. Have you had time to review the Salas study? I am still reading that one.
